§ 74-234. Storm drainage.

  • An adequate drainage system, including necessary open ditches, pipes, culverts, intersectional drains, drop inlets, bridges, etc., shall be provided for the proper drainage of all surface water. Cross drains shall be provided to accommodate all natural waterflow, and shall be of sufficient length to permit full width roadway (roadway is defined as the portion of a road or street within the limits of construction) and the required slopes. The size of pipe to be provided shall be determined by an engineer, but in no case shall the pipe diameter be less than 18 inches.
