§ 2-106. Continuation of joint authority, addition of additional participating counties and change in name.

Latest version.
  • It is hereby found and determined that there is a need for the authority to operate as a joint development in Rabun County, in addition to operating in Banks and Habersham Counties. Rabun County is hereby added as a participating county of the authority and the authority is continued as a joint development authority under the name the "Joint Development Authority of Banks, Habersham and Rabun Counties." This joint and concurrent resolution, when adopted by the governing bodies of each of the participating counties, shall be deemed to continue the authority, with Rabun County being added as a participating county, rather than creating a new joint development authority. The authority shall transact business pursuant to, and exercise the powers provided by the provisions of, the Development Authorities Law, codified in the Official Code of Georgia Annotated Title 36, Chapter 62, as the same now exists and as it may be hereafter amended.
